  Objectives
   
To develop an entertaining online Virtual Makeover tool to be featured on the women24.com web site with which women can experience a wide variety of Revlon's makeup products in an entertaining online environment.


  Description of tool
 


The Virtual Makeover provides a tool for women to experiment with different combinations of Revlon's makeup products and to discover which combination of lip, eye's and cheek makeup work for them. By applying the makeup to 5 models with differing skin tones and facial types the user discovers new and exciting looks which may have remained hidden to them forever. Five hair styles for each model allow for even greater differentiation. A wishlist feature allows the user to view, print or email the specific makeup products that they need to achieve a desired look.


  Special features
   
The Virtual Makeover tool is a java applet which utilizes many optimization techniques and reuse of graphics to provide a smooth and fast user experience. The tool provides printing, emailing and saving features as well as the "before and after" which enables the user to compare the looks they created with the original model image.
